The research paper under examination examines the effect of Altruistic Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) on the employability of final-year university students in Malaysia, informed by Schwartz’s Value Theory. The proposed study will employ a mixed-methods approach, sampling 400 students with varying academic backgrounds from both public and private universities, complemented by Focus Group Discussions (FGDs). This study examines the impact of altruistic CSR aspects, including employee welfare, business ethics, environmental sustainability, and community participation in decision-making, on graduates' career choices. These findings suggest that such altruistic CSR qualities hold significant value for students and are indicative of the universalism and benevolence proposed by Schwartz. With the results presented, the research provides useful strategies to guide Malaysian businesses in optimising their corporate social responsibilities in line with the ambitions of the new generation workforce. Also, the study ensures that the intended research will help Malaysia towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the significance of CSR on sustainable growth and talent attraction.
