In this paper, we report the measurement of sediment concentration using a laser light-scattering technique. In its present fo rm, the technique su ffers from several practical limitations b u t these are o u tweighed by the simp licity and speed o j the technique. The procedures used in overcoming the accompanying problems are discussed.
