Pertanika is an international peer-reviewed leading journal in Malaysia which began its publication in 1978. Pertanika is the only official journal of Universiti Putra Malaysia. The journal publishes in three different areas- Pertanika Journal of Tropical Agricultural Science (JTAS), Pertanika Journal of Science & Technology (JST), and Pertanika Journal of Social Sciences & Humanities (JSSH).

Indexing of Journals

All the three Pertanika titles are indexed in SCOPUS (Elsevier), EBSCO (world's foremost premium research database service) and DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals). In addition, JTAS is indexed in CABI & AGRICOLA.

Code of Ethics

Pertanika, as a journal of high standing among academics, has adopted a Code of Ethics to ensure that its commitment to integrity is recognized and adhered to by contributors, editors and reviewers. Pertanika's Code of Ethics warns against plagiarism and self-plagiarism, and provides guidelines on authorship, copyright and submission, among others. Read More.

CALL FOR PAPERS 2012-13
The Executive Editor is pleased to announce that beginning 2012, Pertanika will be increasing its publication frequency to 4 issues per year for JTAS and JSSH as follows:

• JTAS will be published in February, May, August and November.

• JSSH will be published in March, June, September and December.

• JST will continue to publish in January and July

Pertanika solicits both academic and practitioner papers on theoretical, empirical, and practical aspects of your research findings.

Pertanika is now accepting submissions of papers for 2012-13 from scientists, professors, researchers, post-docs, scholars and students who wish to promote and communicate advances in the fields of Agriculture, Science & Technology, and Social Sciences & Humanities research.

Pertanika's objective is to inform authors of the decision on their manuscript(s) within fourteen weeks of submission. Following acceptance, a paper will normally be published in the next issue.
