The analysis of Pb in moss was evaluated using different extraction methods. Except for the method which involved boiling of the moss in HN03 (method E), the rest gives similar readings. It is recommended that extraction of Pb in highly contaminated moss be carried out by stirring it with 2M HNO at room temperature (method G). However, method C would be more efficient forrelatively unpolluted moss.
